The Burrito Revolution is the brain-child of Jose Chacon & Mauricio Rico, the two Mexicans behind 1910 Cantina. It’s also a nod to the bitter-sweet early days of the Cantina, with the launch coinciding with lockdown.
The spontaneous idea to start serving takeaway Burritos to the people of Balham was just a plan to stay afloat, but it resulted in queues of eager neighbours trailing down the street.
Four years later, the community demand for the return of the ‘lockdown burritos’ is still very much alive, so we decided to do something about it.
These are no ordinary burritos. This is The Burrito Revolution.
